TDM Capacity

Enventis offers TDM Capacity at speeds ranging from DS1 to OCX across our synchronous optical (SONET) network. All services are fully protected and route-diverse throughout the major business centers. Our Time-Division Multiplexing (TDM) is 100% digital allowing for maximum signal throughput and the highest level of uptime in all data services we provide.

DS1

DS1 service is a dedicated, point-to-point transport capacity service that provides transmission of isochronous serial data at 1.544 Mbps. Because the transmission is digital, the signal is passed without any static or interference. DS1 service is great for wholesale customers looking for reliable, communications services at a competitive price.

Advantages
  • Can be terminated at a customer end location or at a Central Office
  • Ensures secure, reliable transport of digital signals
  • Guaranteed availability of 99.99% (on-net services)
  • Available throughout our regional SONET network and in most lit buildings within the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area

DS3

DS3 service is a dedicated, point-to-point transport capacity service that provides transmission of isochronous serial data at 44.736 Mbps. Because the transmission is digital, the signal is passed without any static or interference.

DS3 service can be channelized to deliver 28 DS1 circuits allowing for greater scalability. DS3 service is ideal for customers with larger bandwidth requirements and those who are looking to efficiently optimize their networks.

We utilize DACS (Digital Asynchronous Cross-Connect Services) technology for the most effective use of bandwidth for aggregation of multiple site services.

Advantages
  • Can be terminated at a customer end location or at a Central Office
  • Scalable service that provides a platform for data or voice transmission
  • Available throughout our regional SONET network and in most lit buildings within the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area
  • Guaranteed availability of 99.99% (on-net services)

Optical Carrier (OC) Services

OC Services are fiber optic-based connections used to transmit large amounts of data. The optical nature of these connections provides a higher quality of service than circuits provisioned over copper. OC Services can be dedicated to a single application or channelized to provide DS1, DS3 or Gigabit Ethernet circuits. The following levels of OC Services are available: OC3, OC12, OC48 and OC192.

  • OC3 service transmits isochronous serial data at 155.520 Mbps.
  • OC12 service transmits isochronous serial data at 622.080 Mbps.
  • OC48 service transmits isochronous serial data at 2488.320 Mbps.
  • OC192 service transmits isochronous serial data at 9953.2 Mbps (available only in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area).

Advantages
  • High quality of service guarantees smoother transmission of data with fewer errors
  • Protected service delivered in a self-healing ring architecture
  • Available throughout our regional SONET network and in most lit buildings within the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area
  • Guaranteed availability of 99.999% (on-net services)
